Comrades,   The community-based stream of the New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) is a federal grant that supports community-based projects. It provides funding for projects that make a difference in the lives of seniors and in their communities.  
As of August 6, 2025, New Horizons for Seniors Program (NHSP) is now accepting online grant applications for community-based projects for the 2025-2026 year. Organizations are invited to apply for funding that creates opportunities for seniors to be more connected, supported and active members of their communities.   Projects need to reflect national priorities: Supporting healthy aging Preventing senior abuse Celebrating diversity and promoting inclusion And supporting financial security
Branches who may require some guidance with completing the application are encouraged to reach out to their Branch Operations Advisor, Darryn Langstaff or Tony Rushworth: Darryn Langstaff ([email protected]) Tony Rushworth ([email protected])   Deadline to submit applications is September 17, 2025 at 3:00pm EST.   The online application and applicant guide will only be available on the Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) website.
